Hair essentials

For someone who has the thinnest hair in the world, finding the right hair products that don’t make your hair oily is so hard! I have to be very careful because most products weigh my hair down. So I am ecstatic that I found this trio, these are my absolute current must haves!

I know I know… everyone in the world uses Oribe and I am proud to announce that I have finally fallen in love with it too! I decided to go with the mini size first, just to test it out and see how this product worked with my hair. This is the Dry Texturing Spray, and if you ask me what it does exactly, I can’t really tell you. All I know is, the day that I use this product, I get so many compliments on my hair and everyone asks if I have gotten a blowdry, when I have just simply curled my hair at home and sprayed some of this magic on right after it! Most of these days, I wash my hair, blow-dry to get it dry quickly and curl it right away. When I do this, I always have frizz and flyaways on the top of my head, usually I will use some sort of oils, but because I have thin hair, this makes my hair oily in seconds. This mist (that obviously smells like heaven, because all drybar products do) is the most lightweight mist ever! It tames frizz, flyaways and adds shine to your hair. Keeps your color from looking faded and gives it a nice shine, without making it look frozen (like after you use hairsprays). I got the travel size from a Drybar location. Buy It Now – Drybar Sparkling Soda Shine Mist – $28

I have tried so many dry shampoos, and frankly I was annoyed of them so I stopped using them. But when I heard Elizabeth and James released it’s own dry shampoo (a sephora exclusive), I knew I had to try it ASAP! I absolutely love it, the smell is great, the texture is great and it definitely does what it is supposed to do. What I love most about it is that, it doesn’t leave white marks on your hair. Whatever it sprays out is so light and tiny that it just evaporates in your hair.

From Sephora: “It is lightly perfumed with Elizabeth and James’ Nirvana Black’s addictive blend of alluring violet, sensual sandalwood, and rich vanilla. The Nirvana Black Dry Shampoo is fortified with style-extending proteins, rose root extract for antioxidant protection, and pro-vitamin B to nourish the hair for strength, shine, and bounce.” – amazing right?
