Toca Madera – West Hollywood, CA

[slideshow_deploy id=’1060′]

I have been following Toca Madera’s instagram since before the restaurant opened. I was very excited to try this place out because for one, the decor and cocktails looked amazing. Indeed when you walk in, it looks exactly like it does in the pictures, if not better… no definitely looks even more beautiful in person. I haven’t been this satisfied in a long time. I mean, it wasn’t just the food, or just the decor, or just the ambiance. Everything was actually perfect. I ordered La Bonita and the Ocho Club cocktails that were tequila based, both were so good, highly recommend it. We got the guacamole, which is definitely not ONE of the best, but THE best guac I have tried (and believe me I have tried many). First of all, I absolutely loved how it was made right in front of us, with extremely fresh and organic ingredients. On top of it, pomegranate was added on top of our guac, and that’s something I haven’t tried before. It was so good that I might steal the idea :p. Then I ordered cheese enchiladas, which again, were absolutely delicious.

I have to say that I am not a huge fan of Mexican food, I usually just get guac and cheese enchiladas. But Toca Madera won my heart. I want to come here every weekend… no seriously.

Oh and for those of you wondering what Toca Madera means: “Knock on Wood” haha love it ūüôā
