Spitz – Los Feliz,CA

I don’t usually like eating Mediterranean food at cafes or restaurants because I get so much of it at home. Every Mediterranean place does the same thing, hummus, lamb kebob, etc. aka boring. SPITZ is so different because it adds a twist to your typical Middle Eastern food. They serve Döner Kebab, which translates to “rotating meat”.

From their website: “Spitz’s Döner Kebabs are made with freshly minced lamb and beef or chicken which is then cooked on a rotating vertical broiler to allow its juices to drip down and caramelize on the surface. The meat is shaved off into paper-thin strips and stuffed into sandwiches, wraps or salads with house-made sauces, toppings and sides.”

I know… YUM! I got the Mediterranean Döner wrap which has Hummus, Kalamata Olives, Feta, Romaine, Cabbage, Tomato, Onion, Green Pepper, Cucumber, Tzaziki with your choice of Beef & Lamb, Chicken or Mixed Meat. I also got the Street Cart Fries which are an absolute must, it’s so so good. It is topped with Garlic Aioli, Feta, Onion, Green Pepper, Tomato, Olives, Pepperoncinis.
